One post, a few hours, and thousands of followers! Justin Theroux finally joined Instagram on Wednesday, Dec. 2, and shared a selfie (and a hashtag!) as part of his very first post.
The Leftovers hunk, 44, uploaded a black-and-white photo of himself, with outstretched arm, giving the camera a bold stare-down. The background of the pic is a gorgeous mountainous region and lush valley.
“#on,” Theroux captioned the snap.
Though the actor’s famous wife, Jennifer Aniston, was not in the frame, his followers encouraged him to include her in future posts — or to persuade her to join the site herself. “Now work on Jen!” one user noted, while another added, “We’re expecting selfies with Jennifer, Justin!!!”
Aniston, 46, has previously been outspoken about her refusal to join Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. However, she exercised her social media chops earlier this year when she did an Instagram takeover on behalf of her beauty company Living Proof, revealing snippets from her organic, healthy, and all-natural lifestyle.
Her photos included snaps of her chicken’s fresh eggs, her dog Sophie, and her delicious breakfast of toast, avocados, eggs, and tomatoes.
