Normally when this many good-looking men are in a movie, the word “Oceans” is in the title. But in the upcoming film The Big Short — which has all the makings of a potential Oscars contender — Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt, Christian Bale, and Steve Carell will take on Wall Street without George Clooney in sight.

The Adam McKay-directed film follows four seemingly normal guys who manage to predict the recession of the late 2000s. It is based on the non-fiction book by Michael Lewis, the writer of Moneyball, which inspired Pitt’s 2011 film, and The Blind Side, which inspired the 2009 film that earned Sandra Bullock her first Oscar.
